Fans of the series will be thrilled at the prospect of two TimeSplitters games 15 years after the last games release. Furthermore, there has been renewed hope that THQ Nordic will use licence to make a new TimeSplitters game. However, the update addresses these concerns, claiming the acquisition has "not affected development in any way" and the game is going ahead. But after months of operating in silence, the mod team behind TimeSplitters Rewind just dropped a new trailer to prove the project is still aliveand it's about a minute and a half of slowly. Since THQ Nordic acquired the licence for TimeSplitters there had been rumors that the fan-made project would have to stop. The fan-made game is made as a passion project and although it will be highly anticipated, players will have to settle for sporadic updates for now. The renderings look impressive, but it is also evident that the game has a long way to go before players will be able to get hold of it.
